Choosing the right Kitchen Thermometer - a quick guide

We’ve put together a handy guide so that you can easily determine what you want from your thermometer, whether it’s simple and reliable at an affordable price or state of the art with a robust display that protects against harsh temperatures.

Food industry set to benefit from Digitron's latest hand-held digital thermometers

Digitron has announced new additions to its extensive range of robust hand-held digital thermometers. Demanding food environments will benefit from the rugged, water resistant 1000 Series and 1100 Series thermometers, offering speed, accuracy and performance at an affordable price.

Simple, fast, reliable operation provides precise, stable readings in even the harshest environments, with a choice of thermocouples – thermistors for core food temperature monitoring, T type, and K type for the more extreme heat generated by industrial applications – enabling an extensive range of temperatures to be measured. Additionally, the 1100 Series is available with multi-thermocouple input, allowing air and product temperatures to be monitored, and interchangeable probe options, as well as advanced data logging capability for more efficient QA/QC processes (1100D only).

In busy kitchen environments where robustness is vital, the FM range of thermometers offers a cost-effective means of establishing food temperatures. The simple-to-use, water resistant FM40 food thermometer, featuring a large liquid crystal display (LCD), a thermistor-based general purpose probe and a protective rubber boot, is a key asset to any catering facility. For checking the core temperature of food, the pocket-sized FM12, with a needle tip that can be easily inserted into hard-to-reach areas, is ideal, allowing on-the-spot measurements to be performed at any time.
